Creative Visualization
What is Creative Visualization?
Those three steps are all it takes to successfully bring something into our lives.
If you think about it, magick consists of three steps;
Of course you have to be able to focus your mind enough to be able to know what it is that you actually want and then be able to visualize it as a done deal, which is where meditation comes into the picture.
- Creative visualization is the practice of knowing what you want to happen
- Repetitively visualizing the desired result in detail in your mind
- Acting as if that result is already accomplished.
Those three steps are all it takes to successfully bring something into our lives.
If you think about it, magick consists of three steps;
- See it
- Say it
- Do it
Of course you have to be able to focus your mind enough to be able to know what it is that you actually want and then be able to visualize it as a done deal, which is where meditation comes into the picture.
Using Creative Meditation to Make Your Spell Work
Often in spellwork we are too vague about our intentions. We have a general idea, but the specifics are missing, by using general meditation techniques you can clear your mind to the point where you can pinpoint what it is that want. So that when you do spellwork your intentions are clear, you know what you want.
Then you can use focused meditation to visualize the precise thing that you want and focus you Will in such a way as to make it seem real to your subconscious mind.
And that is the real trick of creative visualization and making your spells actually Work.
Being able to focus all of your attention on the precise thing that you want to bring into your life, )or take out of your life) is the point of learning creative meditation.
With proper meditative techniques you bring that objective to the forefront of your subconscious mind; that part that is actively working on solutions to problems while your conscious mind is busy taking care of everyday business.
All it takes if 5-10 minutes twice a day to put your subconscious mind to work for you and to bring those things that you really want into your life.
Think of your subconscious mind as a computer. It has been programmed all of your life by the things that have happened to you. For instance, if you were told often as a child that you were stupid or ugly, useless, etc. Then that is what is programmed into your subconscious mind. The results are a low self esteem. In order to change this programming, you need to re-set your subconscious mind. Meditation will help you achieve this.
Remember, your subconscious mind doesn't care what happens in your daily life, or how you feel about yourself, it doesn't care if you want a better life, or if you just want to ace a test... It has been programmed to accept certain things, and if these things are detrimental to your daily life, or your overall wellbeing...it is up to you to reprogram it to receive bigger & better things.
Your subconscious mind will give you what you ask for.
Unfortunately that includes your fears, for the power of creative visualization works both ways.

Effective Meditation Techniques
Just as you work out to keep your body physically fit and able to perform at its best... So too can you 'work out' and keep your mind fit and able to perform at its best...
Meditation is an approach to training the mind.
So how do you learn how to meditate?
First of all, lets look at some things that can make Meditation a challenge:
#1 Reason Meditation can be Frustrating:
Most people start off thinking that meditating means SILENCING THE MIND, and this is just not true. It is difficult to silence the thoughts racing through our heads. This noise, or mental chatter, is what the mind does, the mind is just doing its job.
People new to meditation often feel overwhelmed because they are trying to resist thoughts and force silence. When we do this, we are creating the opposite effect of what we are trying for, which is peace & serenity – one of frustration and powerlessness.
By accepting that thoughts are normal and letting them pass without dwelling on them we learn to control which thoughts flow through, and which thoughts linger a moment, over time, we also learn silence. This is the key to a peaceful mind.
#2 Too High Expectations:
Another challenge that allot of people face, is having expectations about what the experience of meditation is supposed to be like.
Remember, there is no “right” way to do it.
Every person is different, and should find a meditation method that suits them personally. Taking advice is fine, but you must decide for yourself what is right for you.
Not only is every person different, but every meditation session is different, as well. Becoming discouraged or giving up because we fail to follow someone else’s rules or advice can dampen enthusiasm and hinder progress.
#3 Too Rigid Positions:
Most meditation teachers recommend sitting with an erect spine while meditating, or in the 'yoga' position, legs folded... or some other uncomfortable manner... I personally couldn't remain in any of those positions for long, Finding a COMFORTABLE position is very important. Trust me. Although, laying down should be avoided as this leads people to fall asleep... yep.
Comfort is essential in order to avoid distractions. Limbs falling asleep, kneed aching, back aching...
Sitting upright with feet on the floor and the back comfortably supported may be the best posture for learning the practice. If you have a comfortable chair with armrests, place you arms on the armrests.
Sit anywhere you want, Anyway you want, As long as you are comfortable and not about to fall asleep...
#4 Being Restless:
Especially in the beginning, Restlessness is another hindrance to a successful meditation. When you first begin to meditate, you must teach your body to slow down & relax. This can be harder than it sounds. Without distractions, like the T.V. or PC, your mind is confused about what it is supposed to do, and so is your body.
So, for beginners, I recommend that you Give Yourself Time to Learn to Relax.
Beating ourselves up because we cannot sit still or maintain a particular posture only makes the process more difficult.
Allow yourself to feel the sensations without struggling to stop them, and they will eventually pass.
Keep your meditation sessions short in the beginning, only 5 to 10 minutes. This will alleviate some of the restlessness and still give your mind & body a chance to learn to slow down & relax.
Meditation has become very popular in mainstream culture.
With the internet bringing with it an abundance of information about meditation that can seem both helpful and contradictory.
So, Stop worrying about whether you are meditating correctly and listen to your body, you will know what is working, and you will figure out what needs to be changed.
After all, the goal is to benefit from a meditation practice that actually works.
